Would You Become Trump's Friend if He Asked You to Kindly?
Imagine the scenario where a hypothetical question arises: would you become Donald Trump's friend if he asked you sincerely?
My Response: An Unlikely Proposition
Alas, the likelihood of becoming friends with Donald Trump is zero. After all, why would we even entertain such a question? Here’s why:
1. Transparent Self-Interest: Trump is notoriously transparent when it comes to his self-interest. While one may respect this honesty, the political and personal values he espouses often conflict with my own. Values form the cornerstone of a lasting friendship, and compromising them is not an option.
2. Unreliable Promises: From past experiences, it is clear that any promise made by Trump is not to be trusted. Numerous stories from people who have worked with or supported him highlight his inability to follow through on his commitments. Those who have partnered with him often face the reality of not getting what they bargained for.
Learning Opportunities
Let's turn the conversation around. Instead of being friends, what about learning from Trump? While I wouldn't want to be his friend, he has certainly amassed a fortune by building various businesses. His wealth and experience can be a valuable asset for learning and growth.
Why Don’t I See Him as a Mentor?
Unfortunately, seeing as how he treats his employees and supporters, I cannot trust what he says. His history of mistreatment and broken promises paint a picture of someone who is not reliable. It would be exhausting to listen to him brag about himself even for a minute and 30 seconds.
Steering Clear of Political and Business Allies
Politicians, especially those in high positions, and billionaires can be challenging to get along with. Here’s what I said in a previous response:
Why Avoid Politicians?
I personally know several city, county, and state politicians through my business ventures. While I keep the relationships strained, I respect their positions and often vote for them. However, despite my support, most politicians fall short in terms of integrity and commitment to their constituents. They often prioritize their own interests over those of the people who elect them.
Why Avoid Billionaires?
The same logic applies to billionaires. Trust issues and a history of broken promises make them difficult to become close allies with. Just recently, I added to this conversation, acknowledging my past experiences with him and other influencers. These interactions have taught me to tread carefully when dealing with such individuals.
Conclusion
In summary, becoming friends with Donald Trump or any such individual is not something I am willing to do, regardless of the circumstances. Trust and values are essential in any relationship, and it is better to stay far away from someone who cannot be relied upon or who has proven to be unreliable in the past.
