Water Collection: The double-wing roof is designed to gather rainwater in the center, channeling it to a single point for collection. Wind Resistance: The shelter can be stabilized by adding a sand-filled base container, ensuring it can withstand wind uplift in various weather conditions. Rooftop Placement: This lightweight shelter can even be placed on the rooftop and still maintain its structural integrity and functionality.

The design of this steel shelter is mine, and it was implemented with the help of our fabricators. This project not only provided practical solutions for shelter but also showcased the potential of cold-formed steel in creating innovative structures for end-users.

Pre-Engineered Modular Light Weight Roofing

Another impressive project was developing a pre-engineered modular light weight roofing system. This roofing is made of lightweight cold-formed steel and polycarbonate multi-wall sheets. Key features include:

Assembled Quickly: The system can be fully assembled at the site in just a few hours, making it ideal for quick installation and deployment. Art Transport Hanger System

One of the DIY projects that stands out the most is a smart hanger system I created to transport acrylic and oil paintings safely from school to home. The challenge of handling wet paintings has always been a concern, and this project aimed to solve that problem:

Corner Brackets and String: I designed a set of corner brackets connected by string and elastic. The elastic pulls all four corners together while providing a comfortable handle at the top to carry the rig by. Modular Design: Plans for this project already exist, and I will be working on a version that can hold two Masonite boards with airspace between for the next semester. Effectiveness: This invention greatly improved the handling and transportation of large art pieces, ensuring that hands, clothes, car interiors, doorframes, and furniture remain clean and undamaged.
